“ Came here on our last night in key west as it's been on our list to try! We wanted to try the shrimp boil and hogfish and I can say that I really enjoyed the food here ! The server was kind and quick. We ordered the ceviche, shrimp boil, birria tacos and lobster bisque ! My personal favorite was the birria tacos and hot fish! ”
“ All the keys funky fun and great food They always have amazing specials and the food and service is amazing! This hidden gem is definitely in an odd spot and filled with locals but that's what make it so great. Enjoy dinning waterside or in the tiki hut ”
“ Awesome ambiance and food! Of course I had the hogfish sliders and my man had the hogfish tacos. We both loved it! The key lime pie here was my favorite compared to any of the others I tried...I'm still dreaming about it weeks later! ”
“ Recommended by a few locals, Hogfish Bar & Grill did not disappoint. We visited on a Friday late afternoon and all the local fishing workers were in there hanging out. Great vibe! Local craft on tap, yes please. I went with what they are known for - Hogfish Sandwich. Very chunky, flaky white fish. Large fried fillet on a Cuban bun. First off, it was excellent and the Cuban bun was probably the best bun/bread I have had. Second, I am not sure that I would get fried again, the "scalloped" flavor gets lost in the frying. Oh well, still excellent. Getting back to the place is interesting, have fun and enjoy the area :-) ”
“ This was my first time at Hogfish and will be a must do every time I come back to Key West going forward. I have been coming to the Keys for almost 50 years and heard about this place but always wanted to get to my other favorite restaurants in Key West. This place is located on Stock Island in the middle of a residential/commercial area. The place is very Keysish and the food is fantastic! I had the Hogfish taco's and my wife had the fish & chips which were also made with hoggish. The hogfish both grilled & fried were cooked spot on and the flavor of the fish was light and texture was flakey. The service was awesome and our server had a wonderful sense of humor. This will as I said before, become a "must" do each visit going forward to Key West! ”
“ I can't imagine a person reviewing this place and giving it less than 5 stars!! Not necessarily because it's the greatest..but more because it delivers exactly what you would expect in terms of food, ambiance and service! We have loved everything we ever ordered here, but don't go if you're looking for a vegan, gluten free experience! Buyer beware!! ”
“ Really enjoyed eating here. Thought was beautiful location in the center of a community. Although parking is kind of weird- part of the community. Thought the food was very fresh and quick service. Enjoyed fish, calamari- recommend! ”
“ Nom Nom Nom! What I got the hogfish sandwich, whole fried fish and also the half pound pink shrimp (hot). The shrimp was decent for the first couple of shrimp, then it started to be a bit on the chewy side. The half pound was a decent amount, there were around 12-12 shrimps. The fried fish was very good, the salsa on top of the fish was great, the meat was good. I wish there were more whole fresh fish options. The hog fish sandwich was really good as well. Flavorful. The fries on the fried fish was a little on the salty side and the fries on the sandwich was less salty, they worked together well. Environment Not on the typical tourist roads. The location was very nice though, it was indoor seating with open space. I really like this type of environment, very casual. There is quite a number of spaces for parking outside. Niceness of the staff Very nice staff, attentive, I was able to get what I needed. Dollar it was very decently priced. Around 80$ for everything. Yes I would return here. ”
“ I need to know, visitors of Key West, what do you do on Stock Island besides Hogfish? We pretty much waited around until our dinner here. The service was great. I got the Hogfish Sandwich ($23), which was such an incredible mess to eat. I found it a little bland, but my boyfriend's hogfish tacos had more substance. They gave a ton of fries though, although on the salty side. I got the best drink I had on the island here. It was the frozen Key Lime Colada, where it was strong but hard to tell just because it tastes so good. ”
“ If you happen to be visiting Key West on any given day, and want to get a taste of the Keys experienced by locals, drive over to Stock Island. Our server today was Kiana, and she did an amazing job at providing us with a list of beers, sides and desserts from memory, keeping our glasses full as well as our two fur babies' bowls and answering our group's menu questions. We sat outdoors next to the water and enjoyed our delicious conch fritters (not pictured) and fresh catch entrees. The ambiance was laid back and the food plentiful :) ”
